As you may know, Salesforce is retiring Platform API Versions 21.0 through 30.0 on June 1, 2025. We want to ensure you’re informed on how these changes may impact your current S-Docs installation and what steps we recommend to maintain product health and functionality.
Important: S-Docs package versions affected by API retirement
Vulnerable versions (up to Summer '23, v4.557 & earlier)
These versions potentially include advanced template techniques that rely on Salesforce APIs, which will no longer function once API Versions 21.0 - 30.0 are retired. We strongly recommend upgrading these packages to avoid disruption.
Intermediate versions (September '23, v5.0+)
While these versions may still contain references to the retiring API ranges, no critical functionality depends on them. A proactive upgrade is advisable at your earliest convenience; however, there is no immediate risk before the Salesforce changes take effect on June 1.
Latest versions (Fall '24 and beyond, v.8.0+)
These packages have been fully updated and no longer include legacy references to retired API components. If you are on these versions, your product is in good health.
S-Sign package status
All S-Sign package versions 8.0+ are unaffected by the Salesforce API retirement, as they don’t contain any references or callouts to API Versions 21.0 - 30.0. We recommend upgrading the S-Sign package with the S-Docs upgrade protocol referenced above.
Please contact your S-Docs representative for the latest S-Sign package links.
S-Sign package status
With ICU Locale Format enforcement, please note that Salesforce will recommend upgrading the S-Docs package if any active or legacy components flag the retiring range of APIs.
To ensure a seamless transition, customers with S-Docs packages in the vulnerable or intermediate ranges will need to upgrade.
Next steps
If you are on a vulnerable version (up to Summer '23) or an intermediate version (from September '23), we recommend scheduling an upgrade as soon as possible. Be sure to review our release best practices guide to ensure a smooth upgrade process.
If you have any questions or want to discuss your specific environment, potential vulnerabilities, and upgrade path, please don’t hesitate to contact your S-Docs representative — we're here to ensure your transition is seamless.
